Raise your hand if you love seeing all the beauty looks during this past award season? Yep – me too! Even the bad ones!
But you don’t need a whole team to get the same celebrity looks that walked the red carpet. In fact, there were a lot of simple looks that can be achieved by a complete novice.
Pops of Color
I love this trend because you can make it as simple or as glam as you’d like. My favorite way is to use a rich royal blue on my bottom lashes to make my eyes really pop. Lupita’s artist went the extra mile & added colored mascara as well. Absolutely stunning & so fun!
This years Pantone color for 2019 is coral so I’m not surprised AT ALL that it’s popping up all over the place. And it doesn’t have to be an in-your-face coral lippie either. I loved Miley’s subtle coral lips. It looks so fresh & it’s perfect for Spring!
In my opinion, looking like a Greek goddess is ALWAYS in. The gold/bronze glow is gorgeous on everyone & gives off that confident & radiant look that we all love. Just swipe a gold or bronze shadow across the eyes, add a nude gloss & lastly highlight yourself for the good Lord above with your favorite golden highlight. Janelle was literally glowing!
Monochrome, Monochrome, & More Monochrome
This is a trend thats been popping up more & more on the red carpet. Even brands like Buxom Cosmetics are coming out with collections that specifically cater to this trend. Monochrome is when you use the same color for at least 2 out of these options: lips, eyes, or cheeks. This is super easy because you can simply use your lipstick color as your blush or even as an eyeshadow. Emmy Rossum was a perfect example of this trend with the shadow & cheeks with a subtle pink lip.
Bold Lips with Simple Eyes
I absolutely love a classic red or dark burgundy with a simple eye. It’s so glam & so simple to achieve. You can add a winged liner or give a little dimension with a shade just a little bit darker than your skin tone to shape the eyes then throw on that bold lip & voila! How gorgeous is that lip on Olivia?
Sooooo many looks I loved! What were some of your favorite looks this season so far?
